Quizzes, the exam, and passing

How quizzes and the final exam are scored, and what happens if you don't pass.

Passing score

Quizzes and the final exam have a passing threshold — 80% by default, though a course may set its own; the course page and the quiz show the threshold that applies. You’ll see your score immediately after submitting.

Knowledge checks are required to move on

Each module ends with a knowledge check, and the next module stays locked until you pass it. This is deliberate: watching the videos isn’t the whole course, and your certificate can’t be issued until every knowledge check and the final exam are passed. Gating them module-by-module means you find that out as you go, rather than at the finish line.

If you’re stuck on a check, you can retake it as many times as you need — and after a graded attempt you can jump straight to the video moment covering anything you missed.

Retakes

  • If you don’t pass, you can try again. Every attempt is kept on record — we never erase a failed attempt — but you only need one passing attempt to move forward.
  • After a graded quiz, you can jump straight to the video moment that covers a question you missed, so you can review before retrying.

The final exam

The final exam works the same way, and unlocks only after you’ve met the seat-time and lesson requirements. Passing the final exam (and any required course quizzes) is what triggers your certificate.
